From January 14th to December 19th 2012 a camera attached to the ship Roi des Belges, atop the Southbank Centre in London, made observations every 15-30 minutes. Spliced together, these observations form a record of almost every day of the year.

To select a group of observations, select the date, start time, and duration at the top right of the page, and press 'Go'.

The speed at which they are drawn depends on your local position and network weather. Hover over any image to find out more, or click to open it in a new window.

A Ship Aground is part of A Ship Adrift, a project by James Bridle for A Room for London. Read more here.
